(Ink color change: cornflower blue to golden yellow)

Holding onto the wall next to her for dear life with one hand, the agent-in-disguise panted heavily, gripping the handle of her Hero Shot (replica-- as far as anybody was concerned. Like she'd actually take her real hero shot out down here!). Mae hadn't actually been on any sort of undercover mission or anything-- in fact, she was a constant face around these parts of town. With the more "lenient" clubs being down here, she could see the few Octoling friends she had without worry-- and not to mention the music down here was regrettably better than most of the stuff in central Inkopolis. Most of these clubs didn't really have high age requirements either-- which was nice, kinda. Seeing an occasional sixteen or eighteen year old hanging and/or dicking about wasn't that bad, per say, but cod forbid Maeve take her 14-year-old sister out here for a night. Her parents would kill her if word ever got out about it.
Not saying that Mae thinks that her little sister isn't capable of defending herself. Because, well-- she's seen her sister out in the field, and Mae's very aware of Selene's talents.
But, her previous statement still stands. Never would Mae take her out here at this age. maybe when she's a bit older.
Looking behind her to see if she actually gave her Octoling chasers the slip, Maeve sighed in relief, slumping down to the floor and resting her back on the stone cold wall behind her. In the inkling's defense, she didn't start any beef with the rival species. Hell, she changed her ink color and wore polarized sunglasses at night to keep anybody from honestly recognizing her! She even drew out the heavy accent more to disguise her voice! But she supposed it's easy to remember the person who sent you back to respawn with a surprising death from above, and before she knew it the agent had been followed. It was an... oddly quiet scene, with neither party truly wanting to make any sort of fuss, but it wasn't hard for the smaller inkling to give them the slip. Honestly-- Mae wasn't here to cause a ruckus or sniff out any soldiers out and about-- no, she was just here to have a good time, even for a little while.
Now-- if only she knew where the hell she ran off to.
