Kayla was really pumped. Today was Thursday, the day when her class had double sports, and the previous week the teacher had promised that they would get to play a Basketball tournament. Everything was perfect, it couldn't get any better...
"Good morning students. Due to the sports teacher's sudden illness, all sports lessons today will be replaced with maths. Thank you, and have a nice day."
Kayla stopped. The announcement made her ink run cold. She winced.
"No. No. NONONONONONO!"
She fell to the floor. This had supposed to be her special day but instead it turned into the most horrible day ever. This was the one day in the week that she didn't have to dread, but now she did. She groaned sadly.
"Oh well," she sighed, "It could be worse."

(Admin Note: Look, since we're all over the country, schools operates differently. So we'll have to try and stay as far away as specific school system, okay?)
How nice that there's no Physical Education class. Oca thought. My body isn't the best for tiring activities like sports.
Oca smiled at the announcer, but apparently one of her classmates was screaming after hearing the message.
"Chill out." she patted the Inkling's shoulder. Glares from other student landed upon her. Oca is going to study in Kingfish Campus for only a year before returning for her permanent Agent job.

Feeling a pat on her shoulder, Kayla looked up. By instinct she jumped a bit back when she saw the octoling. Don't you remember? Someone mentioned something about an octoling joining our class. Remembering that, she briskly got up on her feet.
"You actually like maths?!" Kayla asked, more than a hint of disbelief in her voice, "I mean, it's so boring. Why do we even need to know what the square root of five thousand is?!"

"...Well, it's not bad to learn 'bout new things." she gave Kayla a smile. "It is difficult, but challenging. Also, square root of 5,000 is around 70. Estimation isn't that hard!"Or maybe it's just my urge of learning, since I might not be able to receive such education in my entire life after this year...Oca recalled what it'll be like as a loyal Octarian soldier. In terms of education, all they receive is harsh military training. Some might get to learn about robotics as well. Language is taught by their own parents. And, that's it. Anything other than military, robotics and language is untouched by Octarians. Though, royals are allowed to learn the rest, in order to keep proper education going within, at least some, Octarians. Oca is lucky enough to be learning robotics when she's very young, before she got kidnapped or joined the NSS, so she didn't struggled as much in maths as she should be. On the other hand, Oca's body is extremely weak, as she had an disabled arm and only out of her three hearts is functional. This is known by the teachers, hence she can just sit aside lifting weights while watching everyone else playing games. (this is not a bad thing to her, she's glad she didn't need to play those exhausting games) "Hey, you know, math is the basics of everything aside language. To learn science, you need to learn maths. And science explains everything about the world. It's very useful!"(Kayla It's okay *pats* I don't mind)
