Trapped under the infected Octarian domes since young, Eyan is a poor Inkling who is infected by eye-like parasites, like all the Octarian in the dome. Eyan was born with dark furshia ink, the ink color used by most Octarians. But as he's infected by the parasites, his ink sac failed to generate color (doesn't mean he can't change color though), turning his permanent ink color into black, though his tentacles were still tipped with his birth color, dark furshia. His eyes were orange-- before he was infected. His eyes are now red. Bite marks can be seen on his tantacle clubs, especially when his right tentacle club was completely bitten off. He had three eye parasites, two covering his left eye and one of his left tentacle club.
Eyan tried to live with the parasites normally, but the parasites are bossy and commands Eyan. If he refused to follow their commands, they'll take over and force Eyan to bite a chunk of his own flesh. However, Eyan managed to convince them to not make him do anything bad or illegal.
Eyan could not find his family, so he lives on his own somewhere near Bluefin Depot.
