I must confess that I feel like a monster

It's hiding in the dark,
 Its teeth are razor sharp

It comes awake
 And I can't control it

Piper towers over most sea creatures walking on land at an astonishing 9 feet even. Her tentacles are rather long, reaching down to her shins with two longer tentacles reaching down to her feet. The shorter tentacles are more like an octoling's while the two longer ones are more of an inkling's. They are in no particular style, going straight down. Her facial features are also a mix of an inkling's mask and the sharp points around an octoling's eyes, though the eyes themselves are more octoling in form and carry a black hue rather than green. Her build can be described as gangly: spindly and lank. Her attire consists of a tattered black one piece body suit and nothing else.Much of Piper's existence is shrouded in mystery. The only source of information on her is from circulated rumors around Octo Valley that say she is the result of The Mesonychoteuthis Project; a military experiment who's purpose was to create a super soldier through the use of gene splicing. Piper was once an ordinary Octoling before being integrated with Giant Squid DNA. Her body morphed and shifted into the form it carries now and while the experiment was ultimately a success, the military was unable to contain and control the powerful being they had engineered and she escaped after a violent struggle. Or at least, that's what they say.

Some say she still lurks in the Deep Underground, though no one knows for sure what she looks like or even if she actually exists, as there are no eye-witness accounts. Some believe her to be a blood-thirsty monster that would not think twice about tearing apart anything in her path, while others view her as a frightened individual trying to hide from the ones that turned her into what she is. What is known, however, is that there are few individuals who are brave enough to even attempt to confirm the rumors...
