This wasn't....illegal, was it? It definitely wasn't panhandling, and Kal was far enough away from the main shops that no one could say she was "blocking business". Plus that sea urchin in the alley does pretty much the same thing! Just much more sketchy. Regardless of whether it was legal or not, Kal had a nice set up. Sure it was a bit farther away from all the traffic, but it was a nice shady area with a nice view. Plus it was pretty close to a coffee shop, so all the more reason for Kal to set up shop. What shop you may ask yourself? A potentially illegal one.
A large mat in fact, which was placed square up against a wall. A tool bag, along with some scatter tools, adorned the ground while Kal fiddled around with a small Blaster. Although they assumed it was obvious what they was offering, a sign was put front and center for the more oblivious folks. "Free Weapon Inspections, Cleaning, and Repair*"

If he was being honest, Blake could remember them just like the back of his hand. Cooler heads, Shrimp Kicks, the other few clothing stores, and every foot or so held a cafe. Also, that weapon carrier on the large mat-- wait, what?
He turned around sharply, looking over the setup before him.

I'm in a different place like, a place i haven't been to before It had been a pretty non-existent day for Kal.
But hey, they finished fixing that jammed up blaster!
...Maybe it was time to call it quits...
However, before they could even think about putting tool away, Kal noticed an Inkling looking over their quite spiffy set up. It didn't seem like he had anything on him to fix though.
Maybe he was just getting a quote?
...
Apparently not.
"Look me in the eyes and ask me if I can afford a workshop. ...Now, do you have any other inquiries?"

Kal leaned up against the wall and stared at the orange inkling. He seemed quite chill, to be honest. But...he also seemed a bit brash....maybe a bit of a rebel?

I'm in a different place like, a place i haven't been to before "It's part of a regulator valve for a roller, it's a really delicate part which helps control the flow of ink..! I need it to fix a Dynamo..!"
The part in question didn't look pricey, it almost looked like a mini, metal plunger; About an inch long with a wide head and a long, thin handle.
Looked like it could be snapped pretty easily...

He was lucky he didn't get anything chucked at his head.

Instead, they whipped the screwdriver in their hand right at the orange Inkling.
It was aimed for the head, but honestly Kal would be happy if it hit anywhere else on him.
