The only time xe came to Mahi Mahi Resort was to relax by the pool, not in the pool. If xe was honest, the afternoon was not xis favorite time of day. Xe much preferred the early morning, or night, where xe could easily blend in with the background.
But xe supposed this wasn't so bad either, lounging around in a chair under the bright sun. The shouts of people playing in the water did little to affect xim, and xis expression must have been intimidating as always because everyone took close care not to splash water at xim or at xis feet.
Hmph. Good. |

❤ 4 ↩️ 2 | On any day like this, many a Inkling found themself spending their time at Mahi Mahi. And who could blame them-- the sun was just bright enough, and the pool water warm. Blake was one of many who often spent his time here, whenever not busy with Turf War. If not for the swimming of its own, but also the scenery. This included the other visitors, of course. At least to him. Peoplewatching was wonderful, especially with the ones he was interested in, well, not wearing shirts. Thankfully. he knew to wear a pair of shades to prevent anyone from noticing his gaze. There was one thing he looked over, though. Whilst walking on the boardwalk, he did not notice a chair that had been right in front of him- it was a mystery how he missed the others- and tripped with a small 'thud'. Standing up with a small grunt of disapproval, he noticed the chair he tripped on was taken. And they saw everything. "Uhh...heya! How are you doin'?" he asked to the stranger quite casually; ignoring the fall he had just taken and the light shade of orange now on his face. If he was nice, maybe they'd just forget about his tumble. |

(pls forgive my short posts my lack of muse is killing me atm) ❤ 4 ↩️ 2 | Unfortunately, xis alone time didn't last for long. The sun was blocked for a moment by a tumbling figure, who brushed against Vincent's legs on his way down. With a straight face, xe looked as the stranger got up, and brought xis legs a bit closer to ximself, as if wary. "Clearly better than your sense of balance." Xe shot back, but there was little true venom to it - in fact, Vincent didn't think much of the other's mistake.
The witty remark was just second nature. This was further proved as xe switched quickly into a more polite demeanor after all was said and done. "But I hope you're doing good as well." Vincent told him sincerely, with a small nod. Thinking that would be the end of it, xe held xis tongue on any other sentences that came to mind. |

As Blake took off his glasses, he then shifted himself on the mesh to face the stranger, noticing a bored look being given back. "...Never mind that. I'm fine, thanks," he affirmed, "You look kinda annoyed, though- are you sure you should be here right now? I mean, no offence, but the pool is for having fun."

Xe was relieved to see the stranger didn't seem like too bad of a person. Yes, he too had made a rather quick remark, but Vincent thought there might be an understanding between them as the stranger didn't seem to hold any true annoyance or anger for xim either. "Hmm. Well, maybe I just like being alone."
Xe said, leaning back down to fold xis arms across xis chest. "I can't say you're the only one that's been encouraging me to 'live a little' and things like that, lately, though." Vincent looked to the pool. "Maybe I will join in. ...If you're taking a dip?" Xe raised a brow at Blake. |

also i hope you don't mind nicknames huehue ❤ 4 ↩️ 2 | Despite the original impolite attitude the other had given off, xey were finally opening up a little. He never really understood the "lone wolf" types; they did nothing but walk around and wonder why nobody talked to them. What a boring way to live your life! Blake was glad he was better at starting conversations, even if it meant falling down like an idiot was one of the many "starters". "Everyone's different, eh?"
He gave back a light smile. "I'd assume so, yes. People like you get those a lot. Might as well listen to them at least sometime, right?" Nodding back, he also glanced at the water. "Well, of course I would love to, sunshine." |
