A blue haired and blue eyed Inkling walked out of the Turf War lobby after a long day of Turf War battling. Wearing fake contacts, a Navy Striped LS shirt and a pair of Squid-Stitch Slip Ons, he looked to see the day was still young. He carried his Krak-On Splat Roller and placed it on his back for safe keeping. His tummy rumbled from starvation. Lucky enough, his battles will pay off soon.......once he eats of course.
"Alright stomach, I guess we're both tired" the Inkling said "Might as well get something to eat"
The Inkling walks up to the vending machine and grabs some snacks and a can of soda. He sits down on one of the nearby benches, relaxing as the cool air swept past him. he placed his Krak-On Splat Roller beside him and starts to eat.

Walking out of Jelly Fresh with a bag in tow, Michael had finished shopping for another hoodie he had spotted from the window. He was in a pretty good mood since it was one he was looking forward to for a while, and so he had a little grin and hop to his step as he wandered out the store. Not realizing how long he had been in the store he out a relatively long yawn, only to realize how parched his throat was. His favorite vending machine wasn't too far from the entrance from the store, so he headed over in that direction.
As he walked up to the vending machine, he passed by a blue-haired inkling. His grin quickly dropped when he spotted what was beside the kid: a roller. A very faint groan came out of his mouth as he went by and stopped at the machine. Inserting a few coins while still eyeing the kid, he ordered his drink. With a pop of the lid, he lifted the drink up and gulped down a few swallows before pulling it back down again with an audible sigh of relief. As he went to sit down right next to the machine his eyes were fixated firmly on the nearby kid's roller, with a clear angry frown on his face.

The blue haired relaxed as the cool air swept past him as he plopped another chip into his mouth. He looks over to see his Krak-On Roller having a little scratch. He finishes the bag and throws it into the bin as he checks his roller.
"Wonder how that got there" The Inkling said "Maybe I need to ask Sheldon if he can fix it. Eh, probably later"
He places the roller next to him as he gobbles down on some more snacks.

Watching the other shift his weapon closer to him, Michael let out a "tch" in frustration at just the amount of times he's lost to rollers. He pulled his drink up to his mouth and in several quick gulps he finished it off and crushed the it in his hands as best he could. With his thirst quenched, he stood up (grabbing his bag of things he bought as well) and walked past the kid to the recycling bin nearby, lazily throwing the can inside.
Though he planned to walk away, the thought of him being able to state his mind to a roller brat got to him, since the weapons themselves were always the ones that annoyed the heck out of him during turf wars. In the middle of his steps he paused where he was and turned around so as his body was mostly facing the other Inkling. "So...roller dork. What makes you like that annoying thing so much?" He asked with a frown still across his face, motioning his hand at the roller. "Surely you don't find something so....weighty...fun, do you?"

The Inkling turned around to see who was talking to him. He smiled.
"Oh, hi" The Inkling said "I didn't see you there"
When he noticed the frown on his face and the tone of his voice, he got a little curious.
"Is something the matter" The Inkling questioned "You don't seem very good. Have a I see you before?"
The Inkling kept asking these questions, until he suddenly remembered what he said.
"Oh this?" The Inkling said, pointing to his roller "Oh yeah, I like this weapon. It may be heavy, but I got used to the weight. And it's good for some exercise"
The Inkling said all of this with a smile.

The innocent smile the kid gave him was all he needed to know that he probably just played using it for exactly as he said. And even with all his qualms against the weapon he understood that this kid wasn't the one he's angry at. With a loud sigh he turned his body fully towards the inkling. "I guess I can understand that. Sorry for that if I seemed rude or anything. I just REALLY don't like rollers. Generally both for the ones who use them and the weapons themselves. But you seem pretty nice...for a roller dork." He says with a little smirk. "What's your name, if you don't mind me asking? Mine's Michael." He continued, sticking out his hand for a handshake.

The Inkling chuckled a little.
"Thanks for the compliment" the Inkling said "Yeah, rollers can get a bit annoying, even to me, but I've dealt with them.....sometimes. Anyways, name's Kirb. Nice to meet you Michael"
Kirb sticks his hand out and gives Michael a handshake.

((Sorry for the delay, may have gotten addicted to Xenoblade again for the moment. >.> I didn't forget tho!))
After the firm handshake he give the other kid named Kirb, Michael decided to go ahead and sit beside him on the bench. "So I'm guessing that you like Turf Wars a lot then, eh? You probs wouldn't have that if you didn't." He said, eyeing the weapon again. "Do you like, play for serious or nah? What rank are you?" Michael asked curiously. He hadn't actually talked to anyone else whom played turf wars competitively like him that wouldn't be offset by his bad attitude, but he was in a really upbeat mood today.

"Yep, I love to play Turf Wars" Kirb said "I find playing on there lots of fun, even if my team loses. I don't play there seriously. Just for fun"
Kirb chews on some more chips.
"However, when it comes to Ranked Battles, then I get serious. I'm already S Rank, but I practice, hoping to one day reach S+"

Michael had to do a double take when he heard the S rank come out of the kid's mouth. "S-S rank?! But....but...!" His face was filled with confusion. This kid didn't even look like he was even past A rank! "Gosh, you really hide how good you are at this with your uh, nonchalant...ness?" He continued, with a surprised look still on his face. "I've been tryin' my hardest and I still ain't past A minus!" This roller dork must be hiding something, Michael thought. Maybe he has a really good team for ranked matches? That has to be it. "What do you do that makes you so high rank? Do you only do like, Splat Zones or Tower Control or somethin'?"

He puts his chips aside and grabs his Krak-On Splat Roller.
"I mostly do Tower Control or Rainmaker" Kirb said "Those two are my favorites. Can't say much for Splat Zones though"
He sighed.
"Lost a lot of Ranked Points from that mode"

((Sorry I took so long to get back on here, I got sick and just didn't feel like getting on the PC. Cold weather hates me! >.< ))
Michael wasn't sure how he felt when Kirb mentioned his 'hidden talents' since it sounded kind of conceited, but if the kid didn't have a team yet he HAD to be at least pretty dang good.
"I can definitely agree with you about Splat Zones. I can usually do pretty well if my team actually goes for the objectives, but at my rank you always get those kids who think it is still Turf Wars. Inkstrikes on that mode are annoying, too." He said, nodding at the start of his statement. "And I absolutely love Tower Control! It just screams 'stand here for me to splat you' which is pretty much my fav thing!" He continued with a smirk.

"Yep, this is why I love that mode. Free kills for me and more help for my team" Kirb said "And with my Krak-On Roller, I can pretty much splat the ones on the tower with little to no problems"

a shortish purple inkling girl with a baggy purple hoodie and a hat put on backwards with an E-liter scope slung over her shoulder stands close to you both looking at your weapons for a quick moment then back at you. "mind if I sit here?" she asks.
