Skipping Time

The two Octolings and the inkling nodded in agreement. It is quite cold outside, and none of them wished to stay outside in the freezing wind.

The three rushed towards a nice restaurant near the entrance of the mall. There aren't a lot of people in the mall, as it's rather early for inklings to consider a time like this as dinner time. This restaurant is rather different from the other nice cafes or grand restaurants in the mall: instead of reading the menu from a booket or poster-like list, the menues are posted around the restaurant, along with daily recommendations and chef's choice. The food is simple and the prize is quite affordable, especially for those who (wasted all their cash for nothing) spend some money in stalls, and wish to enjoy a quick and cheap meal.

"Okay, let's order before we discuss any further about the trip~" she looked at the menu right next to her.

(basor maria jones This restaurant is based off the local tea restaurants (yes that's the english name according to Wikipedia™) in where I live. The walls in the restaurant are full of menues. I just want to give them an opputunity to look around in case anything interesting can happen)

There are so many choices... "What should I pick..." she muttered. Even Oca had trouble choosing what to eat.

"Huh, they do serve squids and octopis in this restaurant." she saw dishes involving sea squid and sea octopus meat. Most surface creatures had no shame eating their relative species. Most Octarians are cannibals, eating even their own kind when there's a famine. Since this happens quite a lot... it's difficult for Basor to avoid eating Octarians. Oca is luckier, since she had established a bond with some Inklings, so she had support beside her.

"I want to try the Dual Celapod Spaghetti." she pointed at a picture depicting that dish on the wall. "Oca, Maria, order when you've chose what to eat."

(oca maria jones Squids and Octopuses are cannibals... I guess it does carry on to Inklings and Octarians, except they don't necessarily eat other squid/octo kiddos, they might eat squids and octopuses that haven't evolved yet and are dwelling in the sea.)

"Hm..." Oca mumbled. "I guess I could try the Ink Noodles. Now we've decided what to eat..."

"Excuse me! We have something to order." Oca raised a hand and waved at a waitress. The jelly waitress came over and took their order.

"So, when should we go?" Oca stared at the four tickets to Ancho-V games. "The tickets will expire in a year."

The Squidmas spirit was in air. The mall was buzzing with activity as folks finish their holiday shopping. Corrin was carrying a buttload of heavy shopping bags around. "Goodness gracious this is heavy." she thought. She then decided to stop at a restaurant she frequents often.

She placed her bags down as she sat down at one of the tables. She ordered her food and waited. She then saw a small group at a near-by table. "What are they talking about?" she wondered. "Also, Maria is here oh my!" she then noticed.

(oca basor maria jones I recently learned that buttload is an actual unit of measurement equaling 126 gallons. Awkward isn't it? And we thought that it was just a slang term for a lot of items!)

"Yeah definitely!" she said. 

(oca basor corrin lee I'd imagine my shark-inkling hybrids going to that just so they feel better about themselves )

"Yeah, I am free next Sunday. Though for the rest of the week, I am relatively busy with training." Basor confirmed Oca's statement. 

Basor finished off what's left on her plate. "As much as I'd like to stay longer, I must not be late back to the camp. Thanks for everything! Oh and, Oca, mind paying my bills for today? I'll return them the next time I see you."

The one-eyed Octoling got up from her seat. She gave the two a deep bow. "See you guys later!"

Basor looked back once right before she left the restaurant. A cyan inkling was looking at Maria and Oca... she seems to be listening to their conversation.

(corrin lee maria jones oca Oh yes, the community consist of various species of surface dwellers and Octarians. Oca mentioned Zakk, who is a Zapling. He's a humanoid zapfish and is highly valued among the community. And there's Alfo the Krakling, who apparently is banned from Turf Wars because of his permanent Kraken form. There a lot of cool people in the community, feel free for those Shark...inklings? To join! Yeah!

Also, Basor will be back in the next thread, since it's gonna end anyway why bother switching between both accounts? )
