What do you mean, you've run out of pringles?!
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Cathy was born in Octo Valley as the cousin of the Golden Twins, one of which mysteriously vanished a few years after being born. As they came from a family known for their skill in the Great Turf war, Octavio made sure that they entered training as soon as they turned four. Therefore Cathy and her cousin Mavaru, the remaining Golden Octoling, entered training together. Mavaru was immediately placed into Elite training, which normally only trained exceptionally skilled Octolings over fourteen. Cathy, as the Silver Octoling, was placed into the Skilled Troup, in hope that she would show signs of even mild talent and then be put into Elite training. However, Cathy was different from the start, as she seldom payed attention, hated to put her goggles over her eyes and wasn't skilled with an Octoshot. Ten years later she is in Troup B, two troups below Elite training. The leader of Troup B, an Elite Octoling called Siamica, had been ordered by Mavaru, now in charge of all Octolings, to push all boundaries to make sure that Cathy reached Elite Training, where Mavaru trains the pupils. However, Cathy rebels and strives to achieve peace between Inklings and Octarians. One night she stumbles upon the kettle that connects Octo Valley and Inkopolis, and decides to go through. Then, she meets the four agents trying to stop the Octarian army from succeeding. However, despite her being an octoling, they decide to help her, and she begins to live a better life in Inkopolis. The agents make her a cover story that she was thrown out of Octo Valley and so she joined the inklings in hope of revenge. While her friends try to convince the government of Inkopolis that she would never turn back to the military, Cathy explores her new home happily. She goes back to Octo Valley once a month to visit her friends, the Flooders, but she makes sure that no octarians see her and that she is back in Inkopolis within twelve hours. Cathy uses an Octobrush and wears her Octo Goggles (modified to work like pilot goggles), her Octo Tee and her Octo boots. She does not belong to a squad, although she wants to and is searching for an available slot. Cathy / Battle me if you dare... |

[nospaces] revisions needed your application needs some edits Her application's lookin' good! There are just a couple of adjustments that need to be made before she can be approved! [break] • Where you write that "The Octarian Law stated that when an Octoling turned four they would enter training", you might need to keep things a big more vague just for the sake of continuity - while that's fine on its own, it might cause some confusion due to the fact that it's not a canon law in this universe. It is, however, totally normal for Octolings to be trained from a young age for combat, so everything else you have should be fine! I'd suggest reading up here if you're curious about what's established as canon for Octarians. • Finally, while it's absolutely alright for her to be leading a double life, you'll need some clarification of the fact that she's in hiding while she's in Inkopolis, or at least that she's not noticeably an Octoling, given that she probably wouldn't be too well received by the agents or even the civilians living there. • Other than that, everything looks good to go! |

As bad as I feel for makin' you revise it again, there's a really tiny detail that'll need to be changed before I can finally approve the application! [break] • Just the detail about Octavio being defeated will need to be edited, since in Ink'd canon he hasn't been brought down yet - but it's not really stated anywhere in our info, so sorry about that! I'll see about making a thread with the statuses of canon characters and such soon! • You'll be good to go after that!! |
